TDSB Summer Virtual (Online) School Registration Now Open
The registration information for TDSB virtual school is now posted online. To be eligible to take a full-credit virtual school course, students must have successfully earned 16 credits by June 2010.
Virtual School courses begin on June 28, 2010 and the face-to-face examination date is July 22, 2010.
A list of courses offered and links to the registration process are available at

SO THEY*RE OFF TO UNIVERSITY: THE AGONY AND THE ECSTACY
Going to university is a passage marked by change, exploration, growth and self-discovery. Both you and your student will be faced with the challenge of *letting go* as they mature, assume new responsibilities, and assert their independence. This interactive workshop will identify some of the transitional issues your student may face in entering university. Ryerson University counsellors Dr. Jesmen Mendoza and Rosemarie Volpe will provide tips on how you can help and support them as they adjust to new environments and step out of adolescence and into adulthood.
This workshop is limited to 50 participants.

Planning for life after high school is easier and more effective the earlier you start! With this in mind, we offer an information evening for parents and students in Grade 10 and 11 to help support you in this planning.
Join us to find out more about a range of programs that prepare students for post-secondary pursuits, as well as information directly from post-secondary institutions.
6:30 pm - Registration and Resource Fair in the North Gym
-Find out about enrichment programs for high school students to prepare for university (e.g. Waterloo Unlimited, Shad Valley, DEEP) as well as Gap Year opportunities.
7:00 to 7:15 - LP Guidance Department in the Auditorium
-Overview of Post Secondary Pathways
7:20 to 8:35 - Presentations from Universities and Colleges on the 1st Floor
-Choose three different 20-minute presentations from post-secondary institutions, both near and far, with a range of exciting and innovative programs.
