Information on Timetable Changes
Student Timetables were finalized in June 2011. Guidance is not making any changes to timetables at this time except in the circumstances that there was a mistake. Where we were not able to schedule all of a student’s first choices, we went to the alternatives provided, in the order submitted at course selection time. All students were informed of this process at the time of course selection, and changes were accommodated up until the end of June.
The ONLY circumstances in which a timetable change may be made are:
• Students earned a credit in the summer and that course needs to be removed from their timetable for this school year (students MUST however maintain the minimum course load for their grade level).
• Students wish to make a straight drop of a course (students MUST maintain minimum course loads at LP for their grade level: Gr. 12=6; Gr.11=7 Gr.9 &10=8)
• Students do not have the prerequisite course required for a course on their timetable.
• Students are missing a course which is a prerequisite for a program of study.
• An error was made in course scheduling. Please note it is NOT an error if students have a course they selected as a back up on their timetable. All queries regarding timetables should be directed by email to students’ guidance counsellor. Please note that students with last names A-F should contact erin.mackay@tdsb.on.ca; last names G-N should contact matt.perry@tdsb.on.ca; last names O-Z should contact mary.amoroso@tdsb.on.ca
