School Policy - Academic Standing

1) There is an academic requirement for students who wish to participate on school teams and other out of class school-sponsored activities. It is important that students perform to their potential and maintain a good academic standing. The minimum academic requirement that students must achieve in order to participate on school teams and other out of class school sponsored activities is: 50% with no failures, 55% with one failure, 60% with two failures. Students who do not achieve this level will not be allowed to play on a school team on participate in out of class school sponsored activities.

Implementation:
To participate in Fall activities: Academic standing from the last term.
To participate in Winter activities: Academic standing after 1st reporting cycle.
To participate in Spring activities: Academic standing after 2nd reporting cycle.

2) In order to stand for election to become a member of the Student Council Executive, students are required to achieve an average of 70% on their latest report card.
